We will provide you with an efficient service to submit a compliant noise impact assessment to the Local Authority. One of our Essential service offerings, this is available as a standalone service for Client businesses of any size, or for individuals.

Our Essential services are tailored to the needs of individuals and Property Developers. This means that you will receive the same high quality, cost effective and efficient service that we provide our largest clients.

We offer a full noise impact assessment service, and will support you through the whole process. We already assist a whole host of Clients with surveys and assessments relating to the following:

  • Measurements of existing noise and vibration sources for later assessment
  • Noise from new building services equipment in line with BS 4142, e.g. extract fans, condensing units and heat pumps
  • New or refurbishment building facades, with specifications provided for glazing and in line with BS 8233 and other relevant standards
  • Consideration of the proposed background and rapid ventilation strategies on internal noise levels, e.g. if windows need to be open for rapid ventilation
  • Vibration from building services equipment
  • Specification of noise barriers, e.g. to reduce traffic noise
  • Understanding the risk of vibration transfer through a building and re-radiated noise from external sources such as trains

Our Team has more than 30 years’ experience of Noise Impact Assessments, including both noise and vibration surveys and assessments. We have provided this service as part of many planning applications.

Our Consultants and Technicians are registered members of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) and therefore up to date on the latest legislation and industry practice. This includes consideration of the latest planning guidance in National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), and ProPG.
